| Sited on a steep hillside site in Hollywood, California, the views dramatically survey the downtown skyline, the Griffith Observatory and the iconic Hollywood sign. Maximizing the square footage, views and the pool, the form is derived from the zoning envelope. Set on a service plinth [to elevate the living spaces] and protected behind a shielding wall [to provide privacy from the street], the house is a transparent and permeable cube. Each zonal space connects interior and exterior spaces each organized around optimizing the sightlines from the property. The house is a celebration of layered views.
